Established in 1976, Natya Tarangini has emerged as an institution with a difference in the propagation of the Indian arts and culture – especially dedicated to nurturing the age-old heritage of the Kuchipudi dance form. In the true guru-sishya parampara, hundreds of girls and boys, men and women from all over the world, with creative inclinations, are moulded here into fine dancers, through a systematized syllabus under the watchful eyes of the gurus themselves.
The institution has also taken upon itself the responsibility to collect the ancient treatises, including those on palm leaf, to make them see the light of day by getting those printed in periodicals in native languages.
The physically challenged and children from the weaker sections of the Society are encouraged to take equal advantage of the facilities available at Natya Tarangini.
Raja & Radha Reddy and Kaushalya have brought Kuchipudi dance to the cultural map of the world through their Natya Tarangini. They also tended their two daughter -- Yamini and Bhavana, who already received accolades on their own as dancers -- as exemplary students of their own, with loving care and resolve in preparing the younger generation to take over the mantle...the show must go on...the traditions must be preserved...the art must be enriched and must meet the ever-changing demands of the changing society.
